Artwork Photography
The photograph of an artwork – of paramount importance to the visual artist, both for the archiving and the promotion of their work – requires color fidelity, the correct amount and even distribution of light across the entire surface of the artwork,
and a high level of definition. To that end, I always use the optimal studio-lighting settings – adjusted to the subject and the setting of each photoshoot – cameras and lenses of high resolution and definition, and I devote ample time and attention to the editing of each photograph, using certified, top-of-the-line image-editing tools.
Location and photoshoot
The photoshoot takes place with the artist present, at their private space or workshop, or at the photography studio.
They also have the option – following prior arrangement – to drop off their artwork to be photographed at the studio and pick it up at a later time.
Delivered file formats:
• TIFF (master file)
• JPG (print-ready file)
• JPG, small size (1-2MB), optimal for email attachments
• JPG, web size (fewer pixels, e.g. 720 x 720), optimal for social media,
